Preheat your oven to 325ºF. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff but not fry. Beat in sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beat well after each addition. Fold salt, vanilla, almonds, and flour into egg mixture, blend well. Drop dough by teaspoons about 2 inches apart onto lightly floured cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. Remove from baking sheet while still warm. Makes 3 1/2 dozen |
