Spareribs
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/3 cup of dark corn syrup
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground ginger
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 pounds of meaty spareribs or back ribs
Salt
Pepper |

To prepare marinade, combine the cornstarch, syrup, soy sauce, ginger,
vinegar and garlic. Cut the spareribs into serving pieces and place in a
single layer in shallow dish. Pour marinade over meat, refrigerate 4 hours
or overnight. remove the spareribs from marinade, season with salt and
pepper. Place in shallow baking dish, cover with aluminum foil. Bake in
350ºF. oven for 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil. Broil 5 inches from heat. Turn
once and baste frequently with sauce |
