In a buttered casserole, layer ham, peas, eggs and bread crumbs. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add salt and pepper. Pour over casserole. Bake in a 350ºF. oven for 30 minutes or until the top is brown. Serves 4 to 6 |
