| | Butterscotch Brownies 1 cup of light brown sugar
1/4 cup of butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup of sifted flour
3/4 cup of chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. In the op of a double broiler or heavy saucepan, melt butter with sugar. Remove from the heat and stir in egg. Add remaining ingredients. Butter and flour a 9 inch pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 9 to 12 squares |
