Onion Sauce: 1/2 tablespoon of sugar 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine 2 onions, finely sliced 1 tablespoon of flour 1 cup of brisket broth 1 tablespoon of vinegar salt Brown the sugar in butter; add onions and cook until tender. Add flour, brown. Stir in broth, vinegar and salt. Cook until smooth and creamy. Put through strainer; serve with brisket. Makes 6 servings |
