Chicken Balti

CHICKEN BALTI Time to prepare 30mins Time to cook nourish No. of servings 4 Ingredients 

6 chicken breasts cubed
4 large onions roughly chopped
1 bulb of garlic peeled
pack of coriander from tescos
bit of fresh ginger peeled and chopped
4 dessert spoons of Indian curry powder (from any good Indian grocery shop)
1 cup of oil
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp tikka spice
1 tin of tomatoes
any kind of hot chilies
cans of lager mates

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and add the chopped onions When the onions are nearly turning brown add the garlic and ginger Cook for another couple of minutes and then add he curry powder Fry the curry powder for about another 5 minutes or until oil rises to the top (if it looks to dry add more oil)  Add the tin of tomatoes and simmer for 5-10 minutes While the mixture is simmering fry the chicken in a bit of oil to seal it (add a little bit of turmeric to the oil so it turns the chicken yellow) Put your mixture in a blender and blend until smooth 8. Put back in saucepan and add chicken Simmer for about half an hour 10. Serve in balti dishes with some chopped fresh coriander on top Notes REMEMBER NOT TO FRY THE GARLIC FOR TOO LONG AS IT BURNS WORK ON THE QUANTITY BASIS OF ONE LARGE ONION PER SERVING AND ALTER INGREDIENTS ACCORDINGLY ADD CHOPPED CHILIES TO TASTE DEPENDING ON BRAVERY!
