Green Beans & Caramelized Onions     

1 large onion, halved & thinly sliced
3 tablespoons of butter
2 pounds of green beans, trimmed and blanched
3 strips of bacon, cooked crisp

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the onions in hot butter for 10 minutes or until translucent. add the green beans. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes or until tender. Crumble the bacon and add to the vegetables. Toss well to coat. Makes 8 servings
