Mushroom Bake RecipesFromScratch.com9/7/06

1 can or envelope of mushroom soup mix
1 tablespoon of instant minced onion
1 cup of diced celery
one 4 pound chuck beef roast, 1 1/2 inch thick

 

Combine the soup mix, onion and celery; place on 24 x 18 inch sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Roll roast in soup mixture, wrap foil loosely around meat, sealing edges. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF. for 3 hours. Split foil across top and fold back; broil roast for 5 minutes or until brown. Makes 8 servings
