Oysters Savannah

1 pound of bacon, cut up
1 cup of chopped green pepper
One 4 ounce can of pimiento, drained & chopped
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 quart of oysters in the shell
Rock salt

Combine the bacon, green pepper, pimiento, salt, pepper and paprika. Cover oysters in the shell with mixture. Heat rock salt in pie pans or broiler pan covered with aluminum foil. Place filled oysters on heated rock salt and broil until golden brown on top, about 10 to 15 minutes (may use 1 1/2 quart casserole) alternate layers of bacon and oysters ending with bacon mixture. Bake at 350ºF. for 40 minutes. 8 servings. 400 calories each.
