3 pounds of ground beef 2 cups of bread crumbs 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg 1/8 teaspoon of cloves 1 small onion, grated 1/4 cup of butter or margarine 2 teaspoons of salt 1 teaspoon of allspice 1/8 teaspoon of ginger |
| Combine all ingredients but butter. Blend lightly. Shape into 3/4 inch balls. Brown in butter on all sides. Return to pan, cover simmer 1 1/2 hours. Thicken gravy and simmer 15 minutes longer. Makes 60 or 70 meatballs. |
