1 stick of margarine 1 cup of sugar 1 egg; beaten 1/2 cup of chopped nuts 2 medium apples, peeled, cored 1 cup of flour 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon |

Cream margarine & add sugar gradually, beating until smooth. Beat egg separately until light & fluffy, then add to margarine mixture. Stir in nuts & chopped apples. Sift together dry ingredients & fold into batter with a spoon. Turn batter into a greased 7x11-inch baking pan. Bake 40 minutes at 350ºF. Cool & cut into squares. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Melt margarine in microwave or pan. Combine other ingredients and mix with margarine. Pour into greased 8 x 8 inch dish. Bake for approximately 40 minutes.
