2 tablespoons of Olive oil 1/2 cup of finely-chopped onion 1 tablespoon of finely-chopped garlic 1 cup of Orzo pasta 1 teaspoon of salt Freshly-ground black pepper; 1/4 cup of assorted chopped fresh herbs (such as basil, parsley or your choice) 3 1/2 cups of Chicken stock 1/4 cup of chopped smoked sausage 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, softened |

Heat oil in a saucepan and add onions, garlic, orzo, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in herbs and stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in sausage and butter. This recipe yields ?? servings.
