| German Beef Stew
1 pound round roast, trimmed & cut into 2 inch cubes 2 tablespoons of flour 1 teaspoon of celery salt 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 1 teaspoon of ground ginger 1 teaspoon of black pepper one 16 ounce can of diced tomatoes, undrained 2 cups of thinly-sliced carrots 1 large potato, cut into chunks 1 cup of sherry 1 cup of dark molasses 1 cup of water 3 cups of fat-free beef broth |
| Place beef in a Slow Cooker . In a small bowl combine the flour, celery salt, garlic powder, ground ginger, and pepper; sprinkle over beef. In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, sherry, molasses, and water; pour over beef. Cook on LOW setting for 6 to 8 hours. If desired, add 1/4 cup raisins 30 minutes before serving. Serves 4 |
