| Spicy Cheese Drops
2 cups of all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of dried red pepper 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of softened butter or margarine 2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup of finely chopped pecans 2 teaspoons of caraway seeds |
| Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine dry ingredients and set aside. In mixing bowl, cream butter and cheese. Stir in dry ingredients, nuts, and caraway seeds. Roll teaspoons of dough into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake 15 to 18 minutes until golden. Yield: 5 1/2 dozen. NOTE: These can be frozen after baking and are still just as good when thawed. |
